Description: Late 1960s-early 1970s curvilinear abstract enamel wall panel or plaque by Ellamarie Woolley. This vintage enamel features bright sections of red, white and blue enamel on copper set into a shaped frame. The white central band combines raised gold dots with holes that reveal a subtle copper background. Signed by the artist with her initials EW in the lower right. Numbered, titled and with her full signature on reverse: Ellamarie Woolley, #725, “Land Of The Free”
Enamel art works by the San Diego based husband and wife team of Ellamarie Woolley and Jackson Woolley were recently exhibited in numerous Southern California museums such as LACMA, The Huntington Library, Mingei International Museum and The Craft and Folk Art Museum, as part of the Getty’s Pacific Standard Time initiative.
